The Temple Guard is the security organization which mission is to protect observance of the law in Free City of Novigrad. Its members are uniformed black and equipped with lamie. It was commanded by Chappelle, Novigrad's Deputy for Security Affairs, known for several abuses of power.

After sentencing Chappelle to death, the control over Temple Guard is taken by Kaleb Menge, his former subordinate. The Guard seems to hire and cooperate with Łowców czarownic.
In contrast to information provided in the short stories, members of the Guard are fully armed.
